Bio
Kota Lewis is a Hard Rock & Country Artist that started his career in southeast Kansas before moving home base of operations to Tulsa, Ok in 2025.
Starting in 2019, this group has had a quickly growing fan base. They have become a force of high octane Country and Rock & Roll through the Midwest. With high energy shows that have you doing everything from Head Banging to Two stepping, you will go home wanting more! They have made waves across Kansas, Oklahoma, and into Texas with a sound they describe as “YeeHaw Toxic Rock”. From the lyrics to the music to the performance, this group has become known for a sound that doesn't turn down. They turn up!
•"2024 was a big of a rollercoaster in our history as a group of musicians can probably have. After getting to work with in the studio with the band Saving Abel and release a couple songs that they helped us record & produce we got to see what the standard needs to be for our music. Later in the year we got the opportunity to work with the extremely talented Emily Hollingshed for our song ‘Wish You Harm’ and Unfortunately our Livin' Fast lifestyle caught up to us. On October 5th, Spencer my best friend of 20 years & the Bass Player in our band since it's inception passed away in a single vehicle accident. We got the call at about 5:15 that evening after not hearing from him and sparking a search party county wide. Whether it was smart, stupid, or wrong, we played our show that night for our friend in his honor. That was the end of the Flyers as we knew it. On valentine's day 2025 we released a song for our friend called 'Punchline' & a group version with Jake Marlin, The Stray Sons, & Minco called ‘Punchline (Continued)’ in early April. While ‘Punchline’ is a song for Spencer, ‘Punchline (Continued)’ is more of an experience of what our live shows are like from front to back. While we had every reason to hang up the guitars we have chose to push on for our friend to honor all the hard work he put toward this project & to make sure that his memory & love of people live on. While this isn't your typical band bio, I personally want you to understand anytime you see us on stage or working in the studio we are doing it with our whole heart because there isn't anyone who knows better than we do that you never know when will be your last time on stage, and we don't take your support for granted. Now back to your regularly scheduled stalking my band to see if you like to party as hard as we do."
•In 2025 We were able to release 5 new songs including “Tell No Tales” which won 97.5 KMOD's Cancer Sucks Battle of the Bands competition
•Kota Lewis has opened up for artists like Buckcherry, Randall King, Stoney LaRue, Jon Wolfe, Treaty Oak Revival, Josie Scott, Texas Hippie Coalition & more as well as played on stages such as The Cotillion in Wichita, Ks, Tumbleweed in Stillwater, Ok, and The Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, Ok.
•"I gave up on trying to find a specific sound. My writing ranges from punk, to rock, to country, and by the end of 2025 our sound as a group will break down any barriers of people saying we belong in any form of a box and show we can make our own lane."
